Recently got this reply from a teacher when asked if she planned to attend the uaea conference,  " I can get along quite well without attending your conference, thank you very much."   I used to believe, as this teacher expressed, that there wasn't much benefit in joining the Utah art education association or attending the annual conference.  And although i felt I had good ideas and my teaching was going well, I came to miss the fresh ideas and inspiration that came from associating with my colleagues.

So why should you attend this year's conference?  Come for the association with great people, the mingling of creative ideas, the questioning and the wonderment that comes from tackling essential questions of good teaching practices.

This year's keynote speaker, Olivia Gude, will be simply fabulous!  She regularly speaks to standing room only crowds at annual conferences and we guarantee that you will be glad you had this opportunity.  Being a participant is great, come and gather from your colleagues or come be a repeat or first-time presenter and give back to those who you've learned from.
